Hello Everybody! Tonight is the perfect night for a blog since the aftermath has happened since I walked out of work all pissed off last Friday. I did what I said I was going to do and showed back up the following Monday as if nothing happened and my crew pretty much ignored the fact that I walked out early. I felt like I didn't really get my point across so I decided to leave 5 hours early on Monday. Of course I stated that I was not feeling well, and I wasn't. Mentally. Well tonight at work I got called into the managers office and he asked me if I left early without telling anyone and I said I did with a smile on my face (blocked by a damn mask.) The manager didn't really know how to take my response and said as long as I documented it correctly it'll be excused but also to never do it again. So I think my job is safe for now that's until I inform him I need 10 consecutive days off next month so I can enjoy some beautiful Mexican beaches.     ...

Current Day

Hello Everybody! Well shit, (again) I had this nice, little, entertaining blog all worked out in my head for the past several days but was too worn out from work mentally and physically to actually sit down and write it. Then, something happens at work that changes the entire tone of the blog. This blog is going to be about my life current day and what I am doing for a "survival job" as I try to break into voice acting. Since I have a 40 hour a week day job this blog will be job heavy because that's where most of my life is lived currently. I was going to blog about how blessed I am to have the job I currently have until I got pissed off and walked out last night.     I have held a lot of jobs and that is the very first time I just straight up walked out because I was so pissed off. So what now? Well, I am going the George Costanza route and I am just going to show back up on Monday like nothing ever happened. I will keep y'al...

So much for a lighthearted Blog

Hello everybody! Well shit, sometimes life just happens and you are forced to change your course. And no I'm not talking about anything that has to do with voice overs, I'm talking about the life of my best friend Mege. Fortunately the only change of course is the tone of this blog.     The first time I met Mege was when we were in a local volunteer firefighter academy together. (I am more than certain that I will have a blog or two about my experiences being a firefighter) We instantly connected. From there we were instant drinking buddies who loved to party. I was only 21 at the time.     We remained best friends long after we were done chasing the firefighter dream. Shared countless pizzas and cold beers together and even more handshakes. But he ended up moving not too far out of town while I took a time demanding job outside the other end of town and we lost contact for awhile. Then things got really shitty for Mege. While I wa...

Allow me to introduce myself

Hello everybody! My name is Michael Valice and I am a voice actor. Well I use that term loosely. I am more of an aspiring voice actor. Although I have received professional training, I still have not landed that much anticipated first job. So I have a hard time referring to myself as an actual "voice actor." That's the other problem, I am a horrible marketer so far. Like anything, I am still very new to all of this, so it's going to take me some time before I become a regular Don Draper. And that's basically the purpose of this blog.     This blog is not about voice acting or the voiceover industry. It's about one mans day-to-day life as he enters his journey into the world of voice overs. So far this industry has been pretty exciting even though I haven't figured out how to generate a dime in this business yet. But that brings me to where I am in my journey to voice over success.       I am obviously in the early stage...
